Dark Souls III on Mac

Dark Souls III - the single-player part runs on Mac with Apple Silicon through Hrava (engine DXVK), but while offline is playable, online is blocked by EAC. This is a macOS limitation, not a Hrava one: kernel-level anti-cheat does not work on Mac in any solution.

How to run Dark Souls III on Mac

01

Get Hrava

Buy Hrava ($39) and download the app - one small .app, no Terminal, no drivers.

02

Connect Steam

Sign in to Steam inside Hrava and install Dark Souls III through the built-in SteamCMD.

03

Press “Play”

Hrava picks the engine (DXVK) and launches the game natively on your GPU. Optionally, export it as a standalone launcher.

Honest about the limits

Offline is playable, but online is blocked by EAC. Kernel-level anti-cheat - EAC, Vanguard, BattlEye, nProtect - does not work on macOS in any solution (not Hrava, not CrossOver, not virtual machines): it is a limitation of the platform itself. If all you need is the protected online mode of Dark Souls III - it will not launch on Mac. Single-player and unprotected modes work fine.
